We learned a little bit about Groundhog's Day today. After discussing what Groundhog's Day is all about, we predicted whether a groundhog would see it's shadow at our school today and made a graph. It was a pretty sunny day, so the class mostly agreed that it would see it's shadow.
Then we made groundhogs out of potatoes. We put them into their burrows and took them outside to experiment.
6 more weeks of winter for us! Next up, we will write about our groundhog burrows and work on describing what might be in a groundhog's burrow.
